Like a flower, blowing only easterly She moves, flowing in the eastern breeze Like a storm, nestled on the eastern sea, She loves. Loving on the eastern breeze Like a photograph can change her Home is pen to paper And the call, of a distant shore can save her Home is pen to paper Like a stone, skimming off the coral reef She floats, flowing in the eastern breeze Like a soul, battered by the winter freeze She warms, warming in the eastern breeze

Darlin 03:15
Can you stop these walls from closing in darling? Maybe cure the itch beneath my skin darling? Can you help me find some peace within darling? Oh if you could only, rein me in. I can feel the tide just pulling out you see And I know the force that's drawing back, is me So, if this perfect storm needs air to breath, Darling, be my lungs, don't let me leave Can you shake me up and sit me down darling? Cause I've fought so hard I'm inside out darling. Can you show me something relevant? Maybe take away my urge to run. Run darling, oh I run darling I can feel the tide just pulling out you see And I know the force that's drawing back is me So if this perfect storm needs air to breath, Darling be my lungs Oh, I run darling Could you stop these walls from closing in darling? Maybe cure the itch beneath my skin darling? Could you help me find some peace within darling. Oh, if you could only rein me in.

Gone is the warmth of summer Gone are the lovers Gone are those lazy days in June And cold is this darkened city The sky round here, don't seem so pretty Clouded by the Cloud Slowly breaking chains Slowly fading away And so, from this street forgotten The last brown leaves from bitter autumn Dance into the sun. And oh, changing faces Changing times and changing places Help me to begin Slowly breaking chains Slowly fading away The places where our children used to play, Used to pray Sometimes throw their lives away Take me to those cobbled streets Where angels meet, meet me. This is my city, bleak and pretty Love it, hate it, clean and shitty All rolled into one So feel it's pain and taste it's poison East to west, each heart is frozen Winter leaves, the moment goes And, smile, into the sun

Phuket Daze 03:25
Listen to the tapping of the rain on the window pane The tapping turns to typing and I'm right in the scene again A wooden room with blankets in some holy forgotten land I came here with a back pack, but I'm leaving in a strangers hand I've noticed that the ocean's getting wider since I met you I'm not sure of the distance or how long till I'll forget you I can't continue counting, oh the days are just racing in But when I'm tired of exhaust fumes, well I'm sure I'll see your face again And the Phuket sky is laughing And asking me how I came to belong here One with the rain, building paper planes I don't plan to go back and fly around again So I'll just push you away I will push you away And poof, you'll be gone With the smoke and the haze And I'll just push you away, Yeah I will push you away So let me return To my, Phuket Daze I awake to find the sky is upside down and orange I saw this in a dream back when I couldn't face the mornings And I cling to wooden houses and the water surrounding them See, clarity is everywhere when the city isn't clouding it Oh and don't believe the truth that we can't move beyond our shadows My soaking skin is brimming in the bursting banks and barrels Of a rich and promised paradise of love and life and laughter The trees are my protectors, and my God is greener pastures oh... And the Phuket sky is laughing And asking me how I came to belong here One with the rain, building paper planes I don't plan to go back and fly around again So I'll just push you away I will push you away And poof, you'll be gone With the smoke and the haze And I'll just push you away, Yeah I will push you away So let me return To my, Phuket Daze

Morning Dew 03:28
He's defenseless, in the face of her defenses She's determined not to look back, and her suitcase is packed He's awakened by her kindness, she contains him In a furnace, scared to light the match, or take her kindness back Theirs is a lifetime in a nutshell. You can not crack her, she's contagious Beautiful and courageous. They get raggedy and reckless Joined their hearts and joined their beds Cause they're connected Sharing every breath He cocoons her, with his poets heart, dumbfounds her Surrounds her room with song and flowers His gift, the hours that his thoughts have pierced her soul Better the angel that you know Love's the Devils bow Like the springtime, forged in colour Lost in love and one another He said 'you needn't look no further There's only me and only you' As the summer wind does blow, She will change and she will grow His hand in hers, their tears become the morning dew...

Little Moth 03:41
Little moth, you kept me up all night Little moth, your desperate plight Wings of cloth blister Little moth, you kept me up all night Little moth, you barely had a chance Little moth, your desperation dance Wings of cloth blister Pointless exister Little moth you barely had a chance Flutter, burn Little moth, for you I dearly felt But you wouldn't learn your lesson if I helped Wings of cloth blister Pointless exister Little moth for you I dearly felt Flutter, burn

And so, we soared to brighter places Where the sky was purple, and the sea sang I prayed for love to spread, contagiously Mad love, the darkest kind And oh the wind did blow and burst Over thatched roofs and farm lands And you and I, we drunkenly took on the world Ourselves, our demons We lined the courts of ancient lovers The arched walks of armed men In holy shelters we took cover, With tired wheels and liars hands Behind our eyes we burst with colour Us fading rainbows, bound together And though our bodies shook and stuttered We marched out and caved in There's a mountain bleeding Ripped from all its beauty And the secrets kept and bereft of all their beauty War torn and guilty Just like this city War torn and guilty The beast, within me My broken bones baby, Your foolish heart, save me. We lay in grass and watched the sunset The stained sea and glass sands And holding hands we counted bottles Round barbed wire, we slow danced And oh my heart did sink with worry As the moon moved and the tides changed And you and I, we drowned our sorrows In song books and false friends.

If I was wrong, then I'm sorry True, I did not know what or who I was answering to I swear, I walked straight amongst the crooked bunch With my back to the wind and my hand on my gun But the fault lines changed and I was bound to run See I fled the face of the cornicing My loved one. I slept in your streets, when I was barely a child And I wept in your arms, until they smothered my mouth And I darkened your doorways, I figured you out I took what I could and then I shut it all out And I filled my blood, until I ran a drought You see I brought you back bottles I swallowed you down and out And I covered your tracks, Now I cant find my way back to your door And I bet that you're lost Between the rats and the races...

Air Pressure 05:06
And I think that I could know you When soaring up in the sky And I wish I didn't hurt you From 30000 feet high Where all the passengers fly In the abandoners isle And the hostesses are nosey Reading my thoughts while I sleep And I wish that you could know me For all the secrets I keep The air is thinning and weak Life jacket under my seat (For all the good it would be) And my thoughts propel towards you From my tin can in the sky At 30000 feet high Oh, It's high enough for me to know, I lied...

Down Under 03:38
He wanders closer to the light He fights the fear and flees the fire Play your little heart out Play your precious heart out Down under furrowed brows And old grey towns Done and down under now Down beneath the shards of glass And thoughtless crowds Done and down under now I think of you in sunshine and smile I think of you most days now You saved my little world at times Saved, brought my precious heart out Down in that retched bar With your old guitar Done and down under now Countless those open arms And friendly hearts Done and down under now Focus, I must now Focus and go down under..

Whether a good man, or a good and lost one Living your life's plan, if you ever sought one Whether your mind's clear or fraught With wild and wistful thoughts Pack up shop, take stock of what you've got If you're caught short, by a Bangkok waitress In the cockpit of a grand hiatus If you're running out of Yen In a bar, in Ho Chi Min Don't look back, just float across the wind And if you see a sign, for the Trans-Siberian line Tell me how to reach that love of mine. Cause he's a whisper, down in Sydney harbor A blood blister, from a thief in Zadar He's the nettle in the grass, He's an all consuming ass Where in these four corners does he abide? Bye bye

Tiny Mortals 03:51
We, us tiny mortals So important, so deranged I am merely human Skin and bone and cannot change Falling from the sky A swift reminder, we can break Break, us tiny mortals So involved in higher stakes Love, love is the ocean Love is air, my fingertips I could write a mountain I could move you Telling fibs Hope, hope is important Tends my patience, helps me breath These tiny emotions Mend or tear our tapestries Hope remains Love is open, love is free Love is you and you are me Love is awesome, love is free. We, us tiny mortals So important, so deranged I am merely human Skin and bone and fear and rage Planting down our flags Our wars are spoken, words our wage I, like you am passing Passing places, placing blame Love is open, love is free Love is you and you are me Love is awesome, love is free.

about

Fragmentality-- Bits and Bobs and travel Logs. A kind of patchwork tale of my late teens to mid twenties, as I have explored the world and gathered thoughts in different time zones and mind zones. The outcome after collating eight years of poetry, is this music album. No genre, no 'sound', just me in all my guises. enjoy
